If you are reading this it’s likely safe to say you’ve suffered some type of adversity throughout your life. Whether it’s been through a break up, loss of a loved one, accident, job loss or financial stress of any kind we all know there are stages of grief to go through that will help us to heal and move through our current situation in a healthy way.
1. Denial

3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance
These 5 stages help us to cope and learn to live with the change that has occurred and move forward. It’s important to remember that setbacks, failures and even tragedies are all part of life.
So how can we stay strong during these difficult times?
First, sitting in our pain, allowing ourselves to feel it, to cry and to hurt is part of the healing process.

The Second way you can stay strong is to stay positive and grateful. Uplift yourself through feeling grateful for all that you have in your life and only focus on the things you can control. Listen to music, surround yourself with loved ones, meditate. Do whatever it is you need that will bring you peace and feelings of lightness. Learn to live in a state of gratitude and appreciation for all that you have.
Lastly, recognize this too shall pass. Although it may seem so devastating currently and you feel like life will never turn around and improve, trust. It will. Tough times offer us an opportunity to grow. Look back on your life and remember all that you have already gone through that has made you stronger in the process. The sun will rise and the sun will set. Life will go on. Take one day at a time.
