So here we are February 1st, 2016.
Perhaps you set a New Year’s resolution to get healthier and more specifically to kick your late night snacking habit to the curb.
How’s that working for you?
Often we look to January 1st as a date to make the change we know is in our best interest and is going to help us move forward towards our goals but sadly our mindset is just not in the right place.
Why is our mindset so critical to our success? Without a focused mindset we aimlessly drift about perhaps just on sheer willpower for a few days , a couple of weeks and then BOOM, back to our reality prior to New Years Day. Did you know it takes approximately 21 days to form a new habit?
Mindset is a practice that will carry you long enough for new habits to form and for awesome changes to occur in your life both short and long term.
What you think about you bring about.
Try this daily morning ritual:
- Sit in silence for 5-10 minutes with your eyes closed and think of expanding your energy field as far reaching as you possibly can until you experience seeing a light. Think about being surrounded by a band of energy and stretch it out wide as far as it can reach… past your bedroom, your house, your city, your country, your planet. This is the point at which change can happen for you.
- Breathe deeply 5 times from your belly and slowly exhale
- State an affirmation around the new habit you have already formed in your mind… for example “I nourish my body with healthy foods all day long “. The more you affirm positive thoughts to yourself they end up replacing the negative ones that have become so ingrained and patterned in your mind that they have become habits. Repeat your affirmation 10 times to yourself
- Take 5 more deep breathes and open your eyes.
Repeat your affirmation throughout the day to yourself and take frequent breaks sitting in silence, breathing deeply and repeating your affirmation to yourself!

- Water is my favorite beverage. I drink lots of water to cleanse my body and mind.
- Filling my mind with pleasant thoughts is the quickest road to health.
- My happy thoughts help create my healthy body.
- I go within and connect with that part of myself that knows how to heal.
- I breathe deeply and fully. I take in the breath of life, and I am nourished.
