1. HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US AND WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO TRY OUT OUR STUDIO?
I saw an ad for BlueSky Fitness in the newsletter of my apartment complex. It was January and I needed something to help me with the resolution I had made to get fit. What caught my eye was that there were classes specifically designed for Senior Fitness – just what I was looking for! I tried the Intro Week, and I haven’t looked back.
2. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CLASS AT BLUE SKY AND WHY?
I like the Circuit classes for the variety of workouts and the chance to work at my own level while continually striving to challenge myself. Kathryn and her team are so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, helpful, caring, and encouraging (like when they gently suggest trying heavier weights – lol!) My other favourite class is Yoga which I find relaxing, energizing, and therapeutic. Circuit followed by Yoga makes a perfect morning.
3. TELLS US WHAT YOU’VE NOTICED THAT HAS IMPROVED IN YOUR LIFE SINCE JOINING?
My posture! I’ve always struggled with posture issues but now I am feeling and seeing improvement. I still have a long way to go, but the exercises really are making a difference. And I’m appreciating so many other benefits — being more in control of my weight, and enjoying greater strength and flexibility and balance. I also feel proud that I am making fitness part of my lifestyle.
4. IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT SEPARATES US FROM OTHER FITNESS FACILITIES YOU’VE TRIED?
One unique feature of BlueSky is the class size — small and just right! What really sets it apart for me though is that at BlueSky we have a lot of fun while working hard. And that’s because of everyone there. I can’t say enough about the wonderful instructors and friendly members who together create such a supportive and positive environment.
5. IF YOU COULD CHANGE OR ADD ONE THING AT BLUE SKY WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I wouldn’t change a thing. BlueSky is a boutique gym with a beautiful heart. I feel that we are so lucky to have it in our community!
